What did you learn from listening to it? Vocabulary? Pronunciation? Intonation? How can music help you improve your English? Which songs have helped you improve it?
If I had to choose only one song I can't, because there're a lot of them I like and in everyone I've been able to learn someting about pronuntiacion as well vocabulary.

Generally speaking, the more you listen to music the more you learn English. From my point of view is the funniest way of learning a language. There are several songs really useful for your learning depending on your aims and the subjects you are working. This way, I remember how “With or without you” by The U2 was the first song I memorised. I Think it's a good song for beginners, because it has a really catchy melody and Bono sings in a slowly way. On the other hand one of my favourite songs is “Losing my religion” by The REM. Its lyric is a bit more complicate but It was perfect to learn about present perfect and, I have to say it, to understand Michael Stipe was maybe a bit crazy when he composed this song which doesn't make sense. This is another problem when you are able to understand a song in English, the most times its meaning change your feelings about it, a good example is “Every breath you take” by The Police, which can be perceived like a really romantic song or a good example of an obsessive behaviour.
ReplyDeleteI´ve learnt from music not only that if you got nothing, you got nothing to lose, but also that we have to look at all the lonely people. Moreover, I confirmed that we´re in a road to nowhere.
