Dubbing

Fascinated by Tarantino's Django, fantastic story, great acting, witty humour, wonderful soundtrack (superb 'Ancora Qui' ), but dissapointed in how the African Americans in the film have been dubbed. For those of us who choose to watch films in the original but still like going to the cinema, a poor dubbing like this spoils the film. When will we be able to go to the cinema in this country and watch films in their original version?

Have you been to the cinema lately? Any suggestions?

  1. It's gonna be very difficult go to the cinema and watch films in original version, in this country. We won't see. But technology could come true with headphones or "special bells" where you hear the film in original version, but this is the possible future.

However, nowadays you can watch films in ogrinal version with dvd/blu-ray players or tdt.

Other thing, Tarantino is the best. I like every film of him.

  2. I´ve enjoyed watching Django. Before reading your advice I didn´t want to see that film. A western? There are many classical masterpieces (choose any John Ford´s: “The Man Who Shot Liberty Balance Comes To My Mind, for instance). Even some contemporary good ones: “Unforgiven” or “True Grit”. However, I´m a bit fed up with that genre. But Tarantino almost never let you down. Brilliant dialogues like that among Ku Klus Klan riders. Different characters: I´m thinking of Samuel L. Jackson or even of evil Di Caprio, actor that in some other films puts me off. And of course, good music.
I remember when I first saw Pulp Fiction. It is the perfect example of what I´ve just said. Every song assembled so perfectly that I thought they were composed by the same band. Everybody remembers that Samuel L. Jackson didn´t like filthy animals or the path of the righteous man. And what can we say about new Travolta or about Mr. Wolf, the ubiquitous Harvey Keitel.
Just a doubt. Is it possible Tarantino without violence? I would like to say yes. What do you think?

  4. Thank you Manolo. I can't wait to have time to watch it. I have seen other TV interviews to Tarantino and the main actors in Django Unchained that I have found really interesting, so I am sure I will enjoy this one.
