In the 1920s the USA was characterized by economic prosperity, changes in lifestyle and culture, and modernity. This period was also referred to as the Jazz Age or Decade of Optimism.

How important is optimism? Has the sense of optimism changed lately?

  1. These are bad days. There are lots of people in our country suffering unemployment and strong problems as a result of the bad behavior of others. They need our support, help and understanding.
However, there are even more people complaining not only about those big issues but also about day-to-day little inconveniences. We have to change things, but, in many cases, starting by ourselves, working better and harder.
I want to be more positive than I am: pessimism is useless. I don´t like to be surrounded by negative people, and we´re plenty of them nowadays. That is contagious.
    There will be better days!

  2. Optimism must be our partner in life, because with it and self-confidence we can get all that we propose.

And the most of the times when it seems that nothing it's gonna be alright, when you don't expect that you want it, then, and only then if you're optimist, it comes true.

My advice: "be optimist and you'll see"

It is sometimes difficult to look at the bright side of life, but it is absolutely necessary to do it, especially nowadays.
