“To learn a language besides one’s native idiom, to penetrate its syntax, is to open for oneself a second window on the landscape of being.” Steiner, G. (1971)

Ding Dong Merrily on High
Christmas seems to be a recurring theme in films. My favourite Christmas film of all times is rerun almost every year, but I never tire of watching it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJfZaT8ncYk
I'm trying to find my favourite Christmas film, but I have none.
But I've got one scene from "Life of Brian", when The Three Wise Men are going to visit the birth of Jesus, and at the first they are wrong because they are visiting to Brian and his mother talk with them and ask about the presents. It's an hilarious moment.
It´s a wonderful film! I could see it a thousand times. This picture is just a tale, so it´s connected with last week´s messages. I like James Stewart playing an average man who can behave as a hero without hurting anybody. The whole film is in youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=IQoXV6oCzsQ&NR=1
I wanted to talk about the tales I enjoyed when I was a child or about the marvelous last two poems you´ve sent, but I haven´t had time.
I totally agree with you. I never get tired of watching "It's a Wonderful Life". Moreover, I like "Meet John Doe" (Juan Nadie in Spanish), directed by Frank Capra too.

However there's a film that reminds me my children childhood. We enjoyed wathing it again and again a lot.
