Where would you like to travel next?

  1. This poem was written by Bukowski and here is read by Tom Waits. I was going to say something about journeys but, after listening to it, better not to add anything else.

  2. Manolo,

What a beautiful poem you have chosen. It focuses on little things, on the journey, not on the destination. The poem has reminded me of a song I really like:

  3. Travel is an excellent way to broaden your mind. There're so many places I would like to visit that it's not worth mentioning only one. Broadly speaking, every town, village, city, corner in the world has its own distinctive features, that make them interesting and we can learn so much about other cultures, costumes, ...
However, on numerous occasions, simple things or details as the poem shows are engraved on your memory more than the place you're going to visit.

  4. I love travelling because it’s a wonderful way of opening your mind. It gives me the freedom I sometimes miss when I’m in my town, city or region. On the other hand, it’s the most enjoyable way of learning about different languages, cultures or customs.

Now we are planning our next holidays. Although, we aren’t totally sure, we are looking forward to going to Istanbul or Croatia.
Finally I want to share with you a Godini’s quote: “Who has never gone out from his country is full of prejudices.”
