“To learn a language besides one’s native idiom, to penetrate its syntax, is to open for oneself a second window on the landscape of being.” Steiner, G. (1971)
I've found out a new dictionary, it's for those expresion that you aren't able to find in a normal dictionary; is the Urban Dictionary: http://www.urbandictionary.com/.
Thanks for the information. I actually knew that site, but I was keeping it a secret, as there are many inappropriate terms you can find in that dictionary that you should not be using in class (just for your information). However, it might be quite useful for reading your 1st term book, as it is packed with slang.
It has surprised me the fact that there are so many words which aren't used!. I've chosen panchymagogue. It sounds funny. The meaning is : medicine purging body fluids from the body. "I can't believe you tongue-kissed Chris here, you'll need this panchymagogue". By the way, thanks DangerBrown for your information about Urban Dictionary.
Very interesting!!! I've adopted Xenizitation
